Public bug reported:
When launched, gnome-terminal has a menu bar, even though 'Show menubar
by default in new terminals' is clearly unchecked. I only have the
default profile. This happens both when launching a new gnome-terminal
from the command line, and when opening a new terminal window through
the File menu of an existing gnome-terminal. In both cases, the terminal
launches without the menu, but the menu flickers into existence after
half a second or so.
If it helps, I am on Gnome Classic (no effects), so none of that Unity
crap for me.
