Public bug reported: Binary package hint: mozilla-firefox Description:Ubuntu 9.04 Release:9.04 WIth Automatic Updates set to Daily and Install security updates without confirmation enabled, whenever Firefox receives an update and I restart all saved open pages are lost, being replaced with the home page settings. [Bug 369012] [NEW] Firefox instability after security update, before restart
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: firefox The notification mechanism for Firefox background security updates is not sufficiently obvious to users. In Jaunty a dialog box appears stating restart is required but no details of the consequences if not taken. If the request is ignored or hidden under various windows the user may not be aware or have forgotten about the action. The Firefox window should be modified itself to alert the user of its now limited function state, preferably with some steps taken to limit the actions the user can take or make it more obvious when errors occur instead of actions like navigation to pages or creating new tabs just silently fail. ** Affects: firefox (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Firefox instability after security update, before restart https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/369012 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 441990] [NEW] Buffalo WLI-UC-GN 802.11n USB-WiFi adapter non functional
Public bug reported: The WLI-UC-GN adapter is not functional in Ubuntu 9.10 beta with Linux 2.6.31.11.22. USB details: Bus 001 Device 003: ID 0411:015d MelCo., Inc. With either the live cd or installing, a wireless network does not appear in NetworkManager. It is not clear the support status of this adapter or what driver should be used. Google suggests anything from Ralink 2800 to 3070 drivers. The provided modules do not detect an interface. Building the 2009_0820_RT2870_Linux_STA_V2.2.0.0 drivers fails due to API changes in the Linux kernel. Patching the changes for the new API creates a driver that can be loaded, appears in ifconfig and iwconfig but does not appear in NetworkManager.
