Re: [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 469820] Re: [GM45] system locks up at random intervals, except mouse
no luck with your ppa so far just adding it to the repository should have been all i needed to do, correct ? Yes, that should be enough. There was a chance it would fix it, but it was good to know either way. It turns out that the batchbuffer dumps with current kernels are not useful anymore [1]. They would need a kernel patch [2], and I haven't been able to package a kernel with that patch yet. Btw, you still need to subscribe to the upstream bug report (register and add yourself to the CC field). [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 521495] [NEW] display applet gets confused about the screen resolution
You have been subscribed to a public bug: Binary package hint: gnome-control-center My laptop has a 1280x800 screen. When I try to run an SDL game that wants to establish 1024x768 fullscreen mode, I see my desktop on the right and bottom, with the game in the top-left area (I should file this bug somewhere too, but I've got no idea where -- SDL? X server?). I then quit the game, use xrandr to select 1024x768 with scaling mode set to Aspect, and run the game. When the game quits, I restore my video mode to 1280x800 using either xrandr or gnome-display-properties. Now for the bug: every time I close and reopen the laptop lid, my desktop returns to 1024x768 instead of staying in 1280x800. I can press Fn-F7 to get the system to autoconfigure, which fixes things, but I have to do that every time after closing and reopening the lid (which also implies every time after resuming). [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 521381] [NEW] Pressing the up arrow responds as if PrintScreen were pressed instead
You have been subscribed to a public bug: Binary package hint: gnome-control-center In Gnome on Lucid Lynx. Logged into an account with gnome settings originating from Karmic Koala. 105-key International keyboard. Multiple layouts tested. Pressing the Up arrow key, ↑, causes a Screen Shot to be taken as if the Print Screen key were pressed. Changing the short cut key for a screen capture to a different key and then back to Print Screen fixed the problem. The up arrow now functions correctly. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 292260] Re: Ctrl+Shift and other layout switching combinations stop working as modifiers
I confirm this issue too. It is not specific to some distribution, I met it on all Linux distros I used (openSUSE 10.1-11.1, Mandriva 2009.0-2010.0, Ubuntu 8.04-9.04 etc.) It is also not specific to some combination, the same happens when using Alt+Shift, Alt, Ctrl and any other possible keys for switching layout. -- Ctrl+Shift and other layout switching combinations stop working as modifiers https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/292260 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg-server in ubuntu. ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
