[Unattended] problems installing win NT4

2004-09-21 Thread Holger Jehle
Hello there,
unattended installation of win2k-sp4 works very well for me - great work!
I now tried to get this working with win NT4 (sp1) and ran into problems.
Windows-Installer is unable to write the boot-block.
I believe, it is because the first partition is type fat32
Is win NT4 supported by unattended-4.4b ?
can someone give me a hint, how to get NT4-installation working?
Has someone managed to apply sp6a on the win-NT4 installation-folder?
best regards,
Holger

Hi Holger!

 Is win NT4 supported by unattended-4.4b ?

Look into the faq and search for Can I install Windows NT?

The answer there is Not right now. Patches are welcome.

See http://unattended.sourceforge.net/faq.html#winnt.

You are correct that NT does not support FAT32, so you will have to
start with a FAT16 partition instead.

None of the current developers have much interest in this ourselves,
but we will gladly accept patches if someone gets it working (without
breaking the other OSes, of course).
