Re: [uportal-dev] latest trunk: stop tomcat, hsqldb shuts down?
I am also experiencing this behavior. I'd be happier if we could leave HSQL running, as it's an extra step to restart it each time I want to try a small tweak to something. drew Nicholas Blair wrote: Not sure if this is expected behavior or not, so I figured I'd post here first. I've noticed that on the latest trunk, when I stop tomcat the local hsqldb is shutdown cleanly (started using the 'hsql' ant target from a terminal). Is this expected behavior? I recall previous snapshots of uPortal leaving hsqldb running after tomcat is shutdown. I suspect the shutdown is the result of some destruction method being invoked by Spring as the applicationContext shuts down; maybe it's hibernate or Commons DBCP. Any thoughts, or should I open this in JIRA? -- Andrew Wills UNICON, Inc.
