Date: Wed, 24 Jan 2018 14:07:22 -0600 From: L.R. RaoTo: webmas...@krackedpress.com Dear Sir/Madam, I have added the 'Sanskrit2003' fonts in the hidden language list. I am using KDE of Linux. Please let me know how to proceed further to type in Sanskrit using Libre writer. Thank you, L. R. Rao. Hello, You have to enable indian languages in the set of available languages for your keyboard in KDE I have no KDE available at the moment, so I paste here the old instructions for KDE 4.2.2 (change where needed - you need to copy sanskrit2003 fonts in your fonts folder): Click on the KDE menu start button -> Computer -> System Settings -> Language and Country. Select "Keyboard Mapping". In the «layout» tab, check «Enable keyboard layouts». From the list of available mappings, select India and add it to the active mappings by clicking on the green arrow. Click Apply and then close the dialog. The keyboard layout indicator will then appear on the KDE panel, where you can click to select the desired language. After choosing the layout for the Indian keyboard, you can then use the font sanskrit2003, selecting it, in your favorite applications, from the respective character menu. Maybe also this thread can help you. https://listarchives.libreoffice.org/global/users/msg11238.html Just click on the link near "Next by thread:" (bottom of the page) to go on reading next message. Re: [libreoffice-users] Re: base table window navigation tool
Hi :) i think it is possible to have 2 or more instances installed alongside each other. The main thing is (or used to be) to not have "quick launcher" on. I think it's not on by default I think that if you try to open more than one version of LO at a time then one or both just crash. The quick-launcher thing is one instance. My unedcuated guess is that it has been hardcoded by some "well intentioned" UI-developer who failed to appreciate the requirements of OSX yet again (and in particular, the different keyboards that Apple produces and sells with its computers). Difficult to lay the blame in such a case as most of the testers and developers use Linux, and I imagine very few have an Apple Mac with a full Apple keyboard à la Magic Keyboard with numerical keys. My own Mac environment uses the small Magic Keyboard with my Macmini or else the integrated keyboard on my MBPro and both are AZERTY. > > The non-standard keyboard shortcut in one of the applications is driving > me crazy. Snap. Fiddling with the UI to "make it better" (for whom, certainly not those on macOS) is one of my major bugbears. I've given up.
