[libreoffice-users] PaletteMaker v.1.0 is out

2019-07-15 Thread jean-francois

(Initially sent using the wrong sender address... ooops.)

Hello,

(I'm posting this message here, not sure this is the most appropriate
place; let me know)

just a few words to inform you that PaletteMaker v1.0, which is a
LibreOffice palettes creation and update tool has just been released, in
FR and EN versions.

PaletteMaker (PM in short) is a LibreOffice Calc document with macros
that helps users managing LibreOffice (LibO) color palettes.

Since LibO version 5.3, the LibO project have dropped the ability to
easily create personal color palettes right from the UI.

PaletteMaker aims at filling the gap.

With PM you can:
-- create personal color palettes (.soc files), optionally saving a
palette to the LibO user's profile.

-- edit existing palettes.
-- take a snapshot of your palettes and document them, which is useful
to document your designs.

For ease of use, PM can call a color picker, calculates the RGB, CMY and
CMYK values for a given color.
The colors may be reordered for a better organization. You also may add
comments to the palette itself or to any of the colors it contains
(the maximum preset color number is 1150 per palette but with little
effort you may change that to any other number).

PM has been designed to ease its translation to other languages.

PaletteMaker can be donwloaded from my friend Ysabeau's web site, here:
-- EN version
https://numericoach.net/PaletteMaker-a-macro-that-makes
-- FR version
http://www.numericoach.net/PaletteMaker-une-macro-qui-genere-des-palettes

Of course, any remark, criticism or suggestion is welcome.

Best,

Archive of release builds
  , I'd
suggest the 6.2.5.2 -> win -> x86

You'll want the core install, and perhaps a localized Help pack.

LibreOffice_6.2.5.2_Win_x86.msi

Let us know if you are still stuck.

[libreoffice-users] re: Convert .wps into Ms Word format

2019-07-15 Thread charles meyer
To all the good folks who shred their appreciated replies, thank you.

I don't know what kind of "file" is in the .wps format.

It's about 5 pages of mostly plain text I can see a bot in WordPad.

Word 2016 doesn't open it.

I tried to reach that converter application and when I tried connecting to
it I got all sorts of warning error messages.

I visited the "official" Libre Office site but there's no listing for a 32
bit version workable on a Windows 7 laptop.

Can you pls share the exact link to a download version of the most recent
Libre Office usable on a 32-bit Windows 7 PC?

Thank you all for all your kind help.

Best,

Charles.

[libreoffice-users] Libreoffice extension XML tags

2019-07-15 Thread Michael H
I've got custom built files that are failing ODT validation. One of these
failures is for loext:contextual-spacing

Is there documentation similar to the ODF specification for Libre Office
extensions? All I'm finding are discussions about the issue, and actual
code that is apparently what's IN libreoffice. I'm looking for the spec
that shows what tags this field is allowed under, and what the allowed
values are. I see mentions this field is confirmed to be part of the ODF
1.3 spec (which I'm assuming means it (will) require renaming to something
like text:contextual-spacing) , but I don't see any list or syntax for ODF
1.3.

Thanks!

Michael Hart
