Re: [libreoffice-users] Cool! LibreOffice is free, open source and very good office suite!
Dear all. Good day. This list is awesome. By the way, is there an open source and good mail manager available for iPhones? I’m using the native iPhone client and I have no major complaints but I was just wondering if there is an open source alternative? Thanks in advance. Good day from Singapore, I have problems with both of my Microsoft Office Home and Business 2019 licenses. So I had installed a trial version of Microsoft Office on my refurbished Aftershock gaming laptop but it expired on 11 Aug 2023. I couldn't use it any more. I needed an office suite but I do not want to spend SGD$300++ purchasing Microsoft Office licenses. Then I thought of LibreOffice. I quickly downloaded and installed LibreOffice 7.5.5.2. With LibreOffice installed, I used LibreOffice Calc to edit and save my Excel worksheet. When I opened the edited Excel worksheet using Microsoft Excel on my Samsung Galaxy A32 5G Android phone, the Excel worksheet didn't look significantly different. In fact, the Excel worksheet edited by LibreOffice Calc looks the same as if it had been edited by Microsoft Excel. I have decided to uninstall the trial version of Microsoft Office Home and Business 2019 (as it doesn't work anymore) and use LibreOffice permanently! I appreciate you migrating Microsoft Office to Libre Office. I hope you can still use it without serious problems in the future. By the way, does LibreOffice have the equivalent of Microsoft Outlook? As far as I know, LibreOffice is only focused on the Office Suite. You can try Thunderbird, which has a similar interface to Microsoft Outlook. -- ~al1r4d/radhitya -- To unsubscribe e-mail to: users+unsubscr...@global.libreoffice.org Problems? https://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/how-to-unsubscribe/ Posting guidelines + more: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: https://listarchives.libreoffice.org/global/users/ Privacy Policy: https://www.documentfoundation.org/privacy

Re: [libreoffice-users] Question about LibreOffice Calc 7.4.7 and hidden columns
Hiding and unhiding columns or rows anywhere on the spreadsheet works fine with my Calc 6.4.7.2 on Linux Mint, even with "Freeze rows and columns" in effect. So I would say you found a bug. Mike On 8/14/23 13:08, users+h...@global.libreoffice.org wrote: Hi! My dad just contacted me about a problem he had with a spreadsheet with some hidden rows and columns. He's running Calc 7.4.7 on Windows 11. Anyway, when he attempts to unhide some hidden columns, they won't unhide. He sent the spreadsheet to me and I found out the columns wouldn't unhide due to being "frozen". By un-selecting "Freeze rows and columns", I was able to get the columns to appear. I passed that information on to him and he was able to do the same. Question: should frozen columns be able to be hidden/shown when frozen? He has since upgraded to LibreOffice 7.5.5.2. Thanks in advance! Peace... Re: [libreoffice-users] Cool! LibreOffice is free, open source and very good office suite!
Hi people. I use Thunderbird and like it. It has a lot of good extensions too. It works on windows 11 too (but I Use ONLY linux). Back in 2014, Mozilla Corporation decided to stop working on Thunderbird and hand it off to the community. However, even though they are not updating this client anymore, Mozilla Foundation still supports it.
