Hallo Georg,

welche Sonderzeichen brauchst du denn öfters?

Einige, wie z.B. den langen Bindestrich bekommst du, wenn du das 
Minus-Zeichen doppelt ohne Leerzeichen davor und dahinter schreibst. Bei 
anderen müssen andere Tasten mehrfach gedrückt werden. In der Hilfe 
steht so einiges zu den Sonderzeichen.


Die anderen kannst du schreiben, wenn du den alternativen Code 
eintippst.Den Findest du unter Einfügen/Sonderzeichen. Wenn du eines A
auswählst, z.B. das @. Unter Windows muss die NumLock-Taste aktiviert 
sein. Wenn du dann 0064 bei gedrückter Alt-Taste tippst, kommt das @. 
Die Ziffern musst du auf dem Ziffernblock rechts auf der Tastatur 
drücken und die Angabe ist immer vierstellig.


Ich habe dafür einen kleinen Notizzettel mit den Zifferncodes mir am 
Monitor angebracht. Inzwischen kenne ich fast alle, die ich brauche, 
auswendig.

How do you know "it works"? Do you mean that the selected text 
disappears? It should if you cut successfully, but shouldn't if you 
do this. First, the keyboard shortcut for Cut is Ctrl+X, not 
Ctrl+Shift+X. Secondly, you seem to suggest that you use the keyboard 
shortcut first and highlight the text afterwards, which also won't 
work. The Cut action cuts what you currently have highlighted, so you 
have to select the relevant text first, before using Ctrl+X.


But then when trying to move the paragraph to another location in 
the same document, using the cursor to ID the new location, then 
using CNTL C or V, or anything, it doesn't work!


Ctrl+C is the keyboard shortcut for Copy, so if you use this without 
anything selected at the new location, you will not paste anything. 
Worse still, if you have anything - even just a blank space - 
selected at the new location, the Copy action will place this text on 
the clipboard instead, replacing the text you are trying to move and 
thus losing it.


Ctrl+V should work as Paste, providing you have cut or copied 
correctly earlier.



The paragraph does not get moved. It stays where it was.


If it is still where it was, clearly your attempt to cut text was 
unsuccessful, contrary to what you claimed earlier.


But I will say that the CNTL C or V in the Toolbar isn't hi-lighted 
and doesn't work.


The Cut and Copy icons in the Standard toolbar will be greyed out if 
you have no text selected. The Paste icon in the Standard toolbar 
will be greyed out if there is currently nothing on the clipboard to 
paste. (There are other possibilities.)



What am I doing wrong, or not doing ?


Try:
o Selecting text before attempting to handle it.
o Using the correct Ctrl+X for Cut.

The OP may think that because AOo can import GEDCOM files, it should be
able to export to GEDCOM. (This functionality is available by installing
an extension.)

Back in the days of OOo 1.1.x, a couple of people on one of the
genealogy lists were looking into creating a GEDCOM export filter, with
the actual data being stored in either Base or dBASE. I haven't seen
anything about that project in years, so I doubt it was ever publicly
released.

Is your file read-only?  This might be shown by a read-only message in the 
title bar?

Nee, es gibt eine wesentlich elegantere Lösung:

1) man setzt einmal dieses Sonderzeichen ein (dieser Schritt ist eigentlich
nicht nötig, vereinfacht aber Schritt 2)
2) Im Menü "Extras -> Makros" wählst du "Makro aufzeichnen"
3) Jetzt wiederholst du Schritt 1)
4) Oben links im kleinen Pop-Up-Fenster klickst du "Aufzeichnung beenden"
5) Nun wirst du aufgefordert, deinem Makro einen Namen zu geben und zu
speichern. Am besten einen kurzen, sprechenden Namen aussuchen.
6) Unter dem Menü "Extras -> Anpassen" markierst du im Box "Bereich" unten
links "OpenOffice Makros -> user -> Standard -> Module1" dein Makro
7) In der obigen Leiste wählst du "Tastatur" aus
8) Jetzt siehst du eine ganze Liste von möglichen Tastenkombinationen. Such
dir eine aus, die leicht von der Hand geht.

Das wars. Klingt umständlich, aber für mich, der öfters Texte auf
französich erfasst, ist es extrem nützlich und zeitsparend.

Bitte um Rückmeldung, ob alles klappt.
