Delete the "1", and then ">Insert >Page Number" at the appropriate place
on the second page. The correct page number should appear on every page.

Download and install OpenOffice and transfer the old documents from your former
computer. They live on the computer, not in a cloud - OpenOffice is not and
never has been an application saving to the cloud.

You will need to reinstall OO on the new machine from the Apache site.
Presumably you have been backing up the old machine to an external drive - so
you can migrate those OO files to the new machine from that backup drive.

I got Open Office in 2008

I am now on an iMac OS Mojave device

I am extremely concerned about how I can retrieve the dozens of documents I
created on Open Office.

How do I do this?

Re: Unable to Size the written Page

2019-04-30 Thread Steven Ahlers
Without complete information, there are several options:

1) bottom right right click on button to adjust zoom percentage or use slider

2) bottom right just to the left of zoom slider on word processor document
click on number of pages displayed

3) in view menu at top select option you wish to change

If this doesn’t fix your problem please supply us with operating system (OS)
you’re using, version of OS, version of OpenOffice you’re using, what type of
document you’re having problem with and with a description of what you’re
seeing (one page shrunk down that appears to have tiny font, one page giant
size with appearance of big font, two pages side by side, etc).

Please reply to: users@openoffice.apache.org so that other users can help you.

Re: Unable to Size the written Page

2019-04-30 Thread Alan B
Hello,
Seems one of two possibilities to me.
1) The zoom level of the document has changed. This makes things look
larger on screen but has no effect on the print format. Even something that
looks huge on screen, if formatted for A4 would still print correctly on
A4. To adjust zoom level...
Select View > Zoom... from the menu. Pick the Zoom Factor to use, maybe
"Fit width". Then click the "OK" button.

2) The document format has been changed. e.g. from A4 to A6. In this case
change the document format as follows...
Select Format > Page... from the menu. Pick the 2nd tab at the top of the
dialog box, Page. Open the "Format" list and select the appropriate
document size. Click the OK button.
