[SOGo] DMARC and mailing list (offtopic)
Dear mailing list admins, Is there a way to handle incoming messages to the list from the SPF/DKIM protected mails with DMARC/ADSP policy? Some users cannot get mails from similar senders (e.g. me). As far as I see, your mailing list software is Sympa - I don't know that -, but I found articles for Listserv and Mailman: https://dmarc.org/wiki/FAQ#I_operate_a_mailing_list_and_I_want_to_interoperate_with_DMARC.2C_what_should_I_do.3F Other way; list users need to use whitelists on their spamfilter: https://dmarc.org/wiki/FAQ#Is_there_special_handling_required_to_receive_DMARC_email_from_mailing_lists.3F How can we help each other in this problem? Re: [SOGo] Webmail Attachment
2015-05-22 11:20 keltezéssel, art balauro írta: Hi there thanks for your reply. Speaking of MTA, what's best fit for sogo, cause now I'm using it on iredmail the free one, not the pro version that's why it's so limited on administration side. Can I have your suggestion for the MTA's. The first point: what is your MTA? Most of cases it is the Postfix. /etc/postfix/main.cf usually have a line with 'message_size_limit = x'. If there isn't, then you can create it at the end of the config file in a new line. The value is byte precision, so, if you want to set up a 32MB size limit, you need to set it to 32+1024+1024 = 33554432 So, your line will like 'message_size_limit = 33554432' based on this example. /Do not forget the trailing LF character (enter at the end of this line), if you use the mcedit!/ BUT! Attachments on emails usually binary files - e.g. pictures, pdf files, archives, spreadsheets, word documents, etc. -, so, the mail clients (webmails too) will put them into mail body with base64 encoding, where one byte will be split. Exactly 3 bytes will be fit 4bytes in this encoding. So... If you have 32MB message limit, you can't attach bigger attachments than 24MB into one mail. Most of cases this limit is ~23MB, because the mail will have more parts (header lines, message body, etc.) - and the size of multiple forwarded/replied mails is bigger and bigger every time, when they forwarded or replied, and some people has email signatures with in-line pictures. Conclusion: the message size limit in postfix (and in other MTAs too) is never equals the possibly maximum size of attachments in the mail. Good to know that! Re: [SOGo] DLZ Bind
2015-03-30 19:52 keltezéssel, FoxNET írta: Hello Peter First of all, thank you for your reply, I thought I had done wrong in the community SOGo. My current concern is that my DNS server manages my areas (accommodation / Mail Server) and delete it, I would not have focused my DNS, especially since my server is not a dynamic IP, but IP fixed. When I was conducting research via .NET, to run the DNS server using Samba, I am told, use DLZ. If you have _only_ pure Linux environment, and you haven't opportunity to use mixed operating systems, then you really need bind+DLZ. But, if you can use Windows in your environment, then you can manage the Samba4 with administrative tools like a standard Windows NS (DNS, Active Directory, shares, etc). Conclusion: if you can and want, use one domain member Windows. If you cannot or don't want, then you need Bind9+DLZ - or there is a 3rd version: you can manage the Samba4 DNS with samba-tool command line utility, but I think this is that part, what you really don't want to... believe me :) -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists

[SOGo] Problem with AS
Hi Guys, We have the weird problem with some clients of us. The problem is exists on my mobile (Android/4.4.2-EAS-1.3) and on my older daughter's mobile (4.2.2-EAS-1.3) - and doesn't exist on my wife's mobile (4.2.2-EAS-1.3 too), so I don't know, what is wrong. When I set up the AS client, the mails/contacts/calendar were synchronised correctly, but the folders were duplicated on the folder list. On my daughter's mobile the folders were multiplied (4-5-6 times), when I changed the period of synchronization. On my mobile always have max. two copies. Some times the folder-list seems as normal, but doesn't contain any mails... When they are multiplied, the first one keeps the mails, the other ones are empty. My wife hasn't this problem, and I don't know why - she hasn't any sub-folder. But my daughter and me have. If your result is only the 0.0.0.0:2000 then you need to use the TCP/4190 instead of TCP/2000 in your sogo.conf. If your result has no lines, then your install doesn't have sieve service. Or. Re: [SOGo] ActiveSync questions
2014-03-24 17:13 keltezéssel, T.B. írta: Hello, The problem is still the same with Sogo 2.2.2. Confirm. My Android phone is a Samsung GALAXY Note 2 (GT-N7100) with Android 4.3. My desktop client is Thunderbird 24.4 Every new Mail becomes the read status. Every old mail outside of the Android Active-Sync sync time frame remains untouched (I've set up 1 month sync time frame here). If I mark a mail as unread in Thunderbird, some seconds later it magically becomes read again. If I switch off my phone, all new unread mail remains unread. So, it's a problem with ActiveSync/Android. Is this a known bug or misconfiguration? I think it has not yet solved. New feature, new problems, new bugs. Re: [SOGo] otherMailbox vs mozillaSecondEmail attribute
2014-03-21 23:40 keltezéssel, Djordje Crni írta: Hi, If otherMailbox LDAP attribute contains only one email address, this email address will be displayed as secondary email address in contact details. If otherMailbox LDAP attribute contains more than one email address, only one email address will be displayed as secondary email address in contact details - because mozillaSecondEmail attribute is single-valued. Other email addresses given in otherMailbox won't be displayed in contact details. otherMailbox contains one email address only, but one LDAP entry could have more otherMailbox attribute ;) otherMailbox compatible with Samba4/Openchange mozillaSecondEmail not. If more otherMailbox attribute is used the user could use more then two outgoing addresses when he/she composes a new mail. User searchable based on any of his/her email addresses - but true: in the card not shown just the first one. -- Szládovics, Péter Onlinedemo.HU http://www.onlinedemo.hu Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic. /Arthur C. Bill Warren The ActiveSync on android also quite slow... Sometimes the resfresh is unfinished (lot of mail / big mail size). -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists

Yesterday I try to set up my nephew's BlackBerry 10 phone (it has ActiveSync client by default), but the procedure went fail. We didn't see mails/folders on the phone, and also couldn't send. Is this a known problem? cut No, this seems like a new one to me. But you should test with a nightly build, as ActiveSync had some improvements lately. If the problem persists, you should open a bug report about this. Hi Christian, The problem: this server is production, so I cannot (and also not want to) install the nightly build on it. But I'll build a test server with the nightly build, and will try it soon. Thanks, Peter -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists
