On the link below is a picture I copied from Ingo's site. I'm curious if anyone knows if the front headlight scheme is a package that one can buy somewhere, or if the owner did it from scratch? http://www.users.uswest.net/~rjeff2/ Jeff Rice 1998 V-Max V.M.O.A. #993 [EMAIL PROTECTED] . Re: (no subject)
Jeff, seen it some where, but don't remember where. I think he built it himself, maybe Mario remembers. Don "Old Man" Smith . To unsubscribe go to http://www.sayegh.org/unsubscribe.htm .
Re:Twin Headlamps
It looks similar to the "Streetfighter" lamp system available from Powerbronze (which I have seen on a V-Max) http://www.powerbronze.co.uk/Powerbronze%20Site/frame.html Regards, Larry#114 Jo Diesel wrote: On the link below is a picture I copied from Ingo's site. Re: Re:Twin Headlamps
This site has a lot of interesting V-Max goodies. A little pricey, but quite nice. Those are the lights that have different colors depending the way you look at them, they look yellow from side, blue from the front..they're pretty cool!!! VmxMario . Powerbronze lights were white (clear) those on the picture are not, unless they got DOT certification, those lights are for OFF ROAD use only, (of course that don't mean shit for us) but for the seller they must meet certification. the French web page!!!
Gentlemen, Please forward the email sent a few days ago about the Vmax patch for the leather jacket. I believe the patch was made in France or something. What is the web address to view the Vmax patch. Thanks, Darrin . To unsubscribe go to http://www.sayegh.org/unsubscribe.htm .
Re: the French web page!!!
Darrin, The "French" Vmax Club "le Club" have an large patch ... http://vmaxleclub.free.fr/cadres22.htm ... look under "patch" and then under "the shop" for purchase information. It is $25 and shipping. There is also the VMOA - Euro site that has the large leather patch. There is a picture of the patch at http://vmax.motox.org/euro.htm .. The cost is $75.-, but that includes shipping to your door. These patches are handmade and will include your VMOA number. They are completely weatherproof as well. Contact Lee Roberts at that site if you are interested in one of those. Remember .. you can always look in archives at the list web site for old posts ... it has a nice search utility. campbell - Original Message - From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: the French web page!!! Tachometer installation
I've been following the discussion about installing a tach on VMaxes and experimented on my 2000 VMax. I tried an Auto Meter tach that was set to 4 cyl mode and it reads 1/2 the correct rpms. I then connected diodes between different cylinders and got the same results as others got: the tach always reads 0 rpms. I just received a VDO model 333902 from Summit Racing this evening and set it to 2 cyl mode and connected it in to the stock tach's wiring and it works just fine. There's a picture of the installation on my VMax web page at : http://hometown.aol.com/rodneyj123/VMaxPage.html The picture shows the engine revved to 4500 and both tachs agree. This VDO tach cost $47 from Summit (plus tax and handling). Maybe the diodes work on older models with different ignitions but they sure don't work on the new VMaxes. I think the secret is to just get a tach that works on a 2 cyl engine. Rod VMOA #1169 2000 VMax 1995 BMW R1100R 1981 Yam XV920RH . To unsubscribe go to http://www.sayegh.org/unsubscribe.htm .
