It did not compress much with zip. It went from 96 MB to 89 MB.

The PDFConverter tools do a better job. I could probably shrink the image
resolution and make it smaller, but people like to see good quality images.

Using LZMA algorithm it goes down to 74MB, still too much, but saves 22MB.
I used specifically xz (http://tukaani.org/xz/).

See:

This is a large file, 96 MB. I had difficulty downloading it and viewing
it. I shall break it into two parts and upload it to LENR-CANR.org, after
lunch. I asked permission to do this. They gave me permission years ago,
but I asked again.

I suggest you to upload it on LENR-CANR.org as a multi-part zip file to
be downloaded and extracted on users' hard drives for off-line reading,
because such a large PDF file (even if split in two parts) will most
likely cause problems with most web browsers' PDF viewer plug-in
(hang-ups, memory problems, etc), in addition of potentially sucking
much bandwidth if people were to read it exclusively online.

Okay, I uploaded the book in two parts. See:

http://lenr-canr.org/FilesByDate.htm

(You may need to reload this.)

Part 1 is 45 MB and part 2 is 24 MB. 69 MB total, which is smaller than the
original. I squeezed some air out of it.
