OK!  I just increased the maximum client request body size to 12MB.

if from a technical POV you have no objections, I'm fine with it. ;-) 
Blog admins just need to be cautious to not use the blog as file 
storage, but for every once in a while a large file, that's ok for me.

to wordpress's upload folder.

That way the configuration won't be compromised any further

Thanks.  Nginx rejected the POST request due to its large size.  I just
increased the limit from 1M (the default) to 4M.

Do you have a more precise timestamp, so I can search in the webserver
log?

First of all, Happy New Year!

Yesterday I was trying to upload a file to spanish blog but only got
the message "HTTP Error".

First file had 11.2MB, after the error I reduced the filesize to
4.2MB. But even the smaller one, 1.6MB, showed the same message.
