Re: [Wikitech-l] api file uploading

2009-01-09 Thread Frisa, Raquel, VF-ES (rfrisar)
Hi all,

We tried with a first version of ApiUploadFile.php in this branch:
http://svn.wikimedia.org/viewvc/mediawiki/branches/ApiEdit_Vodafone/incl
udes/api/
Perhaps it could be useful for Brian to start.

And it is integrated in this mobile app:
https://forge.betavine.net/projects/wikimob/ Be aware that you need to
interact with an installation including action=upload (e.g. last release
in Vodafone branch!)

Regards,

Raquel

I need to incorporate the latest changes made to the upload code in
the new-upload branch, but that is more or less separate from that. I
might be able to upload a more or less working version of ApiUpload
 later this week.

Second that. Being able to create extensions which handle uploading in

combines the Upload form with Semantic Forms.

We could really use the addition of file uploading support to the
 API.
This would also be helpful for cell phone image type applications
 no?

Is there anyone actively looking into such a development? Any
 tips if I
 take that on?
