[X2Go-User] Make an x2go connexion without the gui
Hi, I need a complet x2go no-gui connexion I have tried using x2go --thinclient. I'm able to connect using profiles, but I notice that each time I call x2go, I open a new instance, what I don't want, and I'm not able for now to recall the already opened instance. I have tried pyhoca-cli, but I'm now not able to connect to a machine. Here are the parameters I used : pyhoca-cli -P christian@felicite-X751LN --libdebug I suppose that some are missing, but I can't imagine which they are. Here is the log : alain@Gramps-JujuLand:~$ pyhoca-cli -P christian@felicite-X751LN --libdebug-sftpxfer --libdebug Xlib.protocol.request.QueryExtension pyhoca-cli[29900] NOTICE: preparing requested X2Go session pyhoca-cli[29900] (PyHocaCLI) NOTICE: preparing requested X2Go session pyhoca-cli[29900] (x2goinifiles-pylib) INFO: proposed config files are ['/home/alain/.x2goclient/sessions'] pyhoca-cli[29900] (x2goinifiles-pylib) INFO: config files found: ['/home/alain/.x2goclient/sessions'] pyhoca-cli[29900] (x2goinifiles-pylib) INFO: proposed config files are ['/home/alain/.x2goclient/settings'] pyhoca-cli[29900] (x2goinifiles-pylib) INFO: config files found: ['/home/alain/.x2goclient/settings'] pyhoca-cli[29900] (x2goinifiles-pylib) INFO: proposed config files are ['/home/alain/.x2goclient/printing'] pyhoca-cli[29900] (x2goinifiles-pylib) INFO: config files found: ['/home/alain/.x2goclient/printing'] pyhoca-cli[29900] (x2gosession-pylib) DEBUG: X2Go control session parameters for profile christian@felicite-X751LN: pyhoca-cli[29900] (x2gosession-pylib) DEBUG: username: christian pyhoca-cli[29900] (x2gosession-pylib) DEBUG: key_filename: /home/alain/.ssh/id_rsa pyhoca-cli[29900] (x2gosession-pylib) DEBUG: unique_hostkey_aliases: False pyhoca-cli[29900] (x2gosession-pylib) DEBUG: look_for_keys: True pyhoca-cli[29900] (x2gosession-pylib) DEBUG: allow_agent: True pyhoca-cli[29900] (x2gosession-pylib) DEBUG: X2Go terminal session parameters for profile christian@felicite-X751LN: pyhoca-cli[29900] (x2gosession-pylib) DEBUG: client_encoding: ISO8859-1 pyhoca-cli[29900] (x2gosession-pylib) DEBUG: set_session_title: False pyhoca-cli[29900] (x2gosession-pylib) DEBUG: snd_system: pulse pyhoca-cli[29900] (x2gosession-pylib) DEBUG: session_type: desktop pyhoca-cli[29900] (x2gosession-pylib) DEBUG: server_encoding: UTF-8 pyhoca-cli[29900] (x2gosession-pylib) DEBUG: snd_port: 4713 pyhoca-cli[29900] (x2gosession-pylib) DEBUG: rdp_server: pyhoca-cli[29900] (x2gosession-pylib) DEBUG: kbtype: pc105/fr pyhoca-cli[29900] (x2gosession-pylib) DEBUG: applications: ['WWWBROWSER', 'MAILCLIENT', 'OFFICE', 'TERMINAL'] pyhoca-cli[29900] (x2gosession-pylib) DEBUG: published_applications: False pyhoca-cli[29900] (x2gosession-pylib) DEBUG: link: lan pyhoca-cli[29900] (x2gosession-pylib) DEBUG: xdmcp_server: localhost pyhoca-cli[29900] (x2gosession-pylib) DEBUG: kbvariant: null pyhoca-cli[29900] (x2gosession-pylib) DEBUG: geometry: 2560x1600 pyhoca-cli[29900] (x2gosession-pylib) DEBUG: rdp_options: pyhoca-cli[29900] (x2gosession-pylib) DEBUG: cmd: GNOME pyhoca-cli[29900] (x2gosession-pylib) DEBUG: convert_encoding: False pyhoca-cli[29900] (x2gosession-pylib) DEBUG: clipboard: both pyhoca-cli[29900] (x2gosession-pylib) DEBUG: kblayout: us pyhoca-cli[29900] (x2gosession-pylib) DEBUG: session_title: pyhoca-cli[29900] (x2gosession-pylib) DEBUG: dpi: 96 pyhoca-cli[29900] (x2gosession-pylib) DEBUG: pack: 16m-jpeg-9 pyhoca-cli[29900] (x2gosession-pylib) DEBUG: X2Go sshproxy parameters for profile christian@felicite-X751LN: pyhoca-cli[29900] (x2gosession-pylib) DEBUG: sshproxy_look_for_keys: False pyhoca-cli[29900] (x2gosession-pylib) DEBUG: sshproxy_host: pyhoca-cli[29900] (x2gosession-pylib) DEBUG: sshproxy_key_filename: pyhoca-cli[29900] (x2gosession-pylib) DEBUG: sshproxy_user: pyhoca-cli[29900] (x2gosession-pylib) DEBUG: sshproxy_port: 22 pyhoca-cli[29900] (x2gosession-pylib) DEBUG: initializing X2GoControlSession pyhoca-cli[29900] (x2gosessregistry-pylib) NOTICE: registering X2Go session christian@felicite-X751LN... pyhoca-cli[29900] (x2gosessregistry-pylib) DEBUG: registering X2Go session with UUID 357aaf3a-6ad3-11e5-b059-001617cb2c9d pyhoca-cli[29900] (x2goclient-pylib) NOTICE: initializing X2Go session... pyhoca-cli[29900] (x2gocontrolsession-pylib) NOTICE: connecting to [192.168.1.17]:22461 pyhoca-cli[29900] (x2gocontrolsession-pylib) DEBUG: trying SSH key discovery or agent authentication with server After, pyhoca-cli is waiting, and I must kill the terminal to stop the failed connexion Can somebody help me to have a consistent command line to establish a connexion ? On the server (remote end), you do not need a running X Server. If it has a running X server, you can use X2Go to take over the :0 display, for remote support. On the client (local end), you need some sort of X server. For Linux, it will be the one you're already running for your regular GUI session. For Mac OS X, you will use Xquartz. For Windows, X2GoClient ships with a free X-Server for Windows, but you may substitute your own. Desktop/rootless/shadow depends on what you intend to use X2Go for. These settings are configured on the client, and can be set/changed individually for every connection you decide to set up (they're saved as "tiles" you can click on to start a connection). > I am really motivated, but the complexity of the system combined > with the limited documentation (e.g. I see there are two > x2gostartagent processes running, caused by my ssh connection to > the server machine. [X2Go-User] Unable to connect to Fedora 21 xfce from Windows
When trying to connect from a Windows 10x64 desktop with the current release and 4.0.5.1 to a Fedora 21x64 xfce workstation running versions: [root@localhost log]# rpm -qa |grep nx nx-libs-3.5.0.31-1.fc21.x86_64 nxagent-3.5.0.31-1.fc21.x86_64 [root@localhost log]# rpm -qa |grep x2go x2goagent-3.5.0.31-1.fc21.x86_64 x2goserver-xsession-4.0.1.19-3.fc21.x86_64 x2goserver-4.0.1.19-3.fc21.x86_64 I get disconnected immediately after initiating a connection with the following in the session file: Loop: PANIC! The remote NX proxy closed the connection. Loop: PANIC! Failure negotiating the session in stage '7'. Loop: PANIC! Wrong version or invalid session authentication cookie. The versions are higher than the releases in bug 406 and 504 so I am not sure what else could be the issue. Is this specific to Windows 8.1 and 10 as they both exhibit the same behavior. The key is correct and using a password doesn't help either. Thanks, jlc ___ x2go-user mailing list x2go-user@lists.x2go.org http://lists.x2go.org/listinfo/x2go-user

BTW I don't get a chance to click on the tiles. As the session starts, it asks for a passphrase (I put in my private rsa key) and then it briefly shows a window which I believe may be where those tiles are located. But it disappears almost immediately and brings up another window with the session details, which tells me I'm in a "Desktop" session.
