[X2Go-User] x2go to LXC containers
I'm running into a problem using x2go with LXC containers. I've been using x2go to connect to an LXC container for some time with no problem. I've created a new container on the same host and I'm able to connect to it using SSH. I can also connect to the new container with x2go, as long as I'm not connected to the old container. If I start two x2go sessions at the same time, both fail. At least some of the time, I am no longer able to connect using SSH and need to restart the container. -- Michael Eagerea...@eagercon.com 1960 Park Blvd., Palo Alto, CA 94306 650-325-8077 ___ x2go-user mailing list x2go-user@lists.x2go.org http://lists.x2go.org/listinfo/x2go-user

You need to replace /etc/x2go/applications, which is a symlink (pointing to /usr/share/applications) by default, with an actual folder. Copy all *.desktop files (or only those belonging to applications you wish to publish via X2Go) from /usr/share/applications to that newly-created folder, then, in each *.desktop file, change the line starting with "Categories=" to "Categories=X2Go-Top". Note that you will have to repeat this process whenever the content of one of the original *.desktop files changes, or your entries will be out of sync. The folder /etc/xdg has nothing to do with this. Only /usr/share/applications and /etc/x2go/applications are relevant for what you intend to do. [X2Go-User] Customize Published Applications menu layout
Hi people! I've installed x2go on a server i'm configuring anda i'm impressed in how good it works! I would like to have all applications on my Published Applications menu on the top level, but can't figure how! I've tried to copy the .menu file to the /etc/xdg folder but it didn't changed a thing! It seems only to use default categories from freedesktop. Is it a hard coded feature or there is a file to change its layout? Thank you! [X2Go-User] Multi monitor not working
Hi everyone, i'm running an x2goserver on a 32bit Kubuntu Trusty Tahr Vmware workstation 9 vm. I have the following debs installed there: ii x2goagent 2:3.5.0.32-0~668~ubu all ii x2goclient 4.0.5.0-0~1099~ubunt i386 ii x2goserver 4.0.1.19-0~1064~ubun i386 ii x2goserver-extensions 4.0.1.19-0~1064~ubun all ii x2goserver-xsession 4.0.1.19-0~1064~ubun all The client is my laptop running 64 bit Kubuntu Trusty Tahr with an extra monitor connected. It has the following packages installed: ii x2goclient 4.0.5.0-0~1099~ubuntu14. amd64 Everything is working as expected but i cannot get any of the methods described in http://wiki.x2go.org/doku.php/doc:usage:multi-display to work. When i stretch my x2go client window over multiple monitors the server sees it as on big screen. It does so regardless of whether i check Xinerama extension or not. My laptop has Xinerama enabled. How would i go about getting this to work? -- Grüße/Regards Mario ___ x2go-user mailing list x2go-user@lists.x2go.org http://lists.x2go.org/listinfo/x2go-user
