Naturally without the ? character at the end, but in any case, you're on the

Hmm, that error message is weird. It indicates that the remote proxy sent
garbage, while the other side expected a version number.

What's the client OS? What packages are used there?

 I just did:

apt purge *x2go* nx* libnx*

 Followed by:

apt install x2goserver --install-suggests --install-recommends

And still get that same pop-up. This is on:

Is this still a problem?

I've fixed it up yesterday already for Debian, Fedora, CentOS, ... builds.

Launchpad reportedly built new packages 3 hours ago, I guess I should have
kicked that earlier but forgot.

Actually I got meant workiing by using the repo for Ubuntu 16.04.
Noticed Silvia was based upon xenial packages for the most part so tried it
and it worked.

Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
  x2goserver : Depends: libx2go-server-perl (>=
4.1.0.0-0x2go1.2~git2017.1441+9.heuler.1) but it is not going to be

installed
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.

That was probably caused by me adding ppc64 builds that shouldn't have
built
arch-all packages (and, for that matter, if a package for one architecture
is

rebuilt on a different day, all the other architectures must also be
updated/rebuilt).

Shouldn't happen with the current repo any longer.

I'm running into the same xrandr version issues with Mint 18 as I did
with Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS and Fedora 24.

So I added the nightly builds and the experimental repos, purged libnx
stuff and xnxagent, and then tried to add x2goserver and x2goagent but I am
getting this error:

x2goagent : Depends: nxagent (< 2:3.5.0.32-0~668~ubuntu16.04.1.1)
