Thanks Andrew I think you are right. I've tried to change the encoding of the jboss-beans.xml and of the jboss.xml from UTF-8 to ISO-8859-1 and it still doesn't work. I don't really understand what's going on; I think it might be some problems with the jboss/ tag because the same environment with the weblogic/ tag works.
