Re: [XeTeX] XeTeX OpenType Features bug?

Side Note: TTC (TrueType Collection) is not a font format, but rather a
collection of the multiple TTF fonts of a single family assembled in one
binary file. It also happens to be Apple’s preferred way to distribute its
system fonts. The discussion above was indeed about the fonts included with
macOS, not those that can be provided via third-party sites.

No earlier mention of .ttc as far as I can tell in this thread,
Stephen.  Anyhow, as a non-user of Apple products, I simply downloaded
those version that were easily found online.  In practice these turned
out to be in .ttf and .otf formats.

I think you must be looking at either .otf, or updated .ttf fonts (if there is
such a thing). The issue under discussion here (as I understand it) is
*Apple’s* distribution of .ttc (truetype collection) fonts. Have just checked
again (just to be sure) and have confirmed that Apple’s .ttc files contain no
composed fractions, though subs/subp and dnom/mumr do seem to be there.

I suppose I could unleash fontforge or similar and put something together for
my own purposes, but I’d rather not.

I can see 1/4, 1/2 and 3/4 at U+00BC to U+00BE, 1/5 to 4/5 at U+2155 to
U+2158, 1/6 at U+2159, and these by just a very quick search using
Charmap; are there other fractions that you would want to have included ?
