RE: RE: [XFree86] Fatal Server Error in X Server
The link still works it just gets cut by the list software. Just add the -tml back to the end of the line. http://www.redhat.com/docs/manuals/linux/RHL-9-Manual/ref-guide/s1-x-fonts.h tml You don't need to add those lines to your config file. However if you do, this particular problem won't repeat. The link explains more about what you just did to fix that problem if you're interested in learning about it. RE: [XFree86] Fatal Server Error in X Server
Your font server has failed. Here is a link to Red Hat documentation about the font server XFS http://www.redhat.com/docs/manuals/linux/RHL-9-Manual/ref-guide/s1-x-fonts.h tml Service xfs restart may work, you'll have to be running as root and X should not be running. The latter shouldn't be a problem. :) I'm not a Red Hat user so maybe someone else can help you if you have more questions. Your second choice is to add the font directories to your config file. This is the preferred solution. Add the following lines to the Section Files in the XF86Config file: FontPath /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/misc:unscaled FontPath /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/75dpi:unscaled FontPath /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/100dpi:unscaled FontPath /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/Type1 FontPath /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/Speedo HTH, cyn -Original Message- From: Rohit Khanna [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, June 25, 2003 4:43 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [XFree86] Fatal Server Error in X Server ___ XFree86 mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://XFree86.Org/mailman/listinfo/xfree86
