Re: [delicious-discuss] More lag with tagging sites...

2006-01-17 Thread Terry Donaghe
No, I'm using FireFox 1.5 with cookies turned on and it's connected to the internet. I can view other people's Deli.cio.us bookmarks and do everything else on the website. I am logged into my
del.icio.us account. I'm just not seeing anything that I've tagged since Sunday. I had my wife look from her computer, and the newest stuff I've tagged doesn't show up for her either.

Re: [delicious-discuss] Lag on RSS feeds

2006-01-17 Thread joshua schachter

Yeah. The RSS server is way behind. We are getting pounded.

I'm hoping to transfer the RSS serving to the new Yahoo servers today
(and they are not behind) so that should be good.

In the interim I've temporarily banned a bunch of the stuff we let in
normally and the server is catching up.

[delicious-discuss] Can I use delicius in this way ??

2006-01-17 Thread vpm

Hi, I got a question on delicius usage.

I'm writing some articles for an Italian on-line magazine on Semantic
Web. Rather than adding the classical reference links at the bottom of
the article page, I was thinking to redirect the article's readers to my
delicious page, where they can find the article related links ( let me
say I'll create a foo_1ART tag), all my other semanticWeb links and more
.
Plus, if they like to sign up delicius, they can receive all my new
semanticWeb tags with the inbox service, and start to use themselves
your great service.

As I'm a guest on your server, I think is polite to ask for before doing
something that maybe you don't like at all.

Best Regards
Pier.

Re: [delicious-discuss] Can I use delicius in this way ??

2006-01-17 Thread Chris Born
So far as I know this is acceptable usage.I have been doing this for a podcast me and a friend started 6 months ago. Any links we mention on the show for further information is usually tagged under a tag specifically for the show. I've also setup a RSS feed box in PHP-Nuke for our website to pull that tag in so anytime I find something interesting that's related to our show's content I tag as well.

del.icio.us bookmarks as classical reference links via API or simply linking to my del.icio.us.Your solution is not forbidden in any way. Many people use strange and (to others) meaningless tags for various personal reasons. However, personally I'm against using such 'hacks' in a public folksonomy. Somehow it doesn't feel right for me to use tags I only can make sense of.
That is just my personal opinion. I think that Joshua would hardly consider this to be impolite.-Mislav

[delicious-discuss] Related Links not working?

2006-01-17 Thread Chris Lott
Is the Related Items feature disabled currently? I've tried a number
of different links and Related Items seems to be revealing nothing. I
was going to use that as part of a demo today. If not, does anyone
happen to have a couple of screenshots I could show?

[delicious-discuss] your personality, rewards, and influence

2006-01-17 Thread Amir Michail
Hi,

CollaborativeRank now infers your personality based on your bookmarks.
 See for example:

Click on your personality designation for further info. This is a
work in progress, so feedback is welcome.

You can now find out where you got your expertise from using the
rewards: command.
See for example:

You can also see your influence on search rankings using the
influence: command (your contributions to more important URLs are
shown first):

Finally, Google search is also supported. For example:
