[ydn-delicious] Re: Changes
The only thing that had an impact is that all my people subscriptions have dropped out of the RSS feed - now I have to subscribe to 2 (not a problem, but is it possible to offer a combined one as well?) c. Behavior is significantly bimodal; some people sub to tags, some to people, mixing both is relatively rare. The user/tag subscriptions are very rarely used. I guess I'm in the outlier group: my (former) inbox was a combination of users and tags/tag combinations. Once the new foundation is in place, are there any thoughts of allowing the two to merge again? I can subscribe to both network and inbox feeds, or combine the two myself easily enough, but I've liked the fact that I've got easy access to a single-feed view of stuff appearing on del.icio.us that I'm likely to be interested in. And just on principle, let me note that I preferred the old inbox approach, but that the change has not killed my puppy, set fire to my house, nor stolen my herd of goats. I would prefer that all decisions made regarding the design and implementation of del.icio.us were based upon what was most convenient for me personally, of course, but what can you do? RE: [ydn-delicious] Changes
You are right, network is not groups. Some stuff we want to do later relies on Network, and I'd actually coded up a (worse version) of network a while ago and never was able to release it. Tag unions is also on the list, but I want to make sure there's a better UI in place for navigating the tags first. I'm sorry if this means not keeping things exactly the same, forever, but I think this is an overall improvement. It's great to see continuous progressive improvement on del.icio.us. That is my main reason for sticking with the service. BUT --- I cannot pretend I forgot about you saying there are going to be changes with the social part of "social bookmarking". Groups, profiles... I don't recall exactly. Networks aren't groups after all, but on the other hand groups tend to get out of hand and become useless on other social bookmarking services or social networks. So - while we're speaking of changes - are there any plans/development steps taken forward something similar to this? And - I cannot resist - what about tag unions? Possible? :)-Mislav SPONSORED LINKS Developer network Computer security Computer training YAHOO! GROUPS LINKS Visit your group "ydn-delicious" on the web. [ydn-delicious] Missing Private Posts
I was trying out the Private post feature, and marked several posts as do not share. Now I do not see the posts anymore. When I'm logged in, they are included in the post count for a particular tag. When I'm not logged in, they are not included in the count. I know they are in there somewhere. Anyone else have this problem? Regards, David SPONSORED LINKS Developer network Computer security Computer training YAHOO! GROUPS LINKS Visit your group "ydn-delicious" on the web.
