Re: [delicious-discuss] bug with tag replace?
I have discovered the same problem. I did some how to reproducing the bug. 1. On Windows XP SP2 with Firefox, create an account with username test29. (http://del.icio.us/test29) 2. post google.com with tag a, yubnub.org with tag b, naver.com with tag c. 3. Visit http://del.icio.us/settings/test29/tags and frome there rename the tag a to the two tags b and c. That means, choose 'a' from 'old tag' and type 'b c'(without quotes) into 'one or more new tags' and click 'replace tags'. 4. log out of the test29 account. 5. activate the account by clicking the activation link in the confirmation mail. 6. Go to _another_ PC with Windows XP SP2 with Firefox. 7. Visit http://del.icio.us/test29/, http://del.icio.us/test29/a, http://del.icio.us/test29/b, http://del.icio.us/test29/c and see the pages. When you visit the page http://del.icio.us/test29/, everything seems fine. you'll see that google.com is tagged b and c. Also you see no problem when you export all items. When you visit the page http://del.icio.us/test29/a, you'll see something is wrong. google.com appears there. While it is true that google.com was tagged a, but google.com is now not tagged a. When you visit the page http://del.icio.us/test29/b, the page shows only one item , that is, yubnub. but there must be two items that are tagged b, namely, google and yubnub. Interestingly, you can see the phrase showing both items. It's like the google item is there and invisible. This bug does not occur when you change tags of items manually without the 'Rename Tags' service. The step 6 of going to another PC is necessary so that the result is independent of browser caching. I don't know if the two PC must have Windows XP SP2 with Firefox, I didn't test other OS. Mislav wrote: I had a buch of stuff tagged with text-indexing, text-markup and similar. Then I thought I could use intersections for that and started tagging with separate tags (eg. text indexing, text markup). I replaced all of my previous 'dash' phrases wiith multiple tag equivalents. The trouble is, they don't appear in listing for those tags - at least not all of them. The only items that appear are those who are edited or added afterthe replacement :( To see what I mean - I see only 2 items here, should be 16: http://del.icio.us/mislav/text If I would go and make edits to some 'hidden' items, they would appear. This looks like it can be a bug of tag replace functionality, when one tag is replaced by multiple others -Mislav ___ discuss mailing list discuss@del.icio.us http://lists.del.icio.us/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/discuss -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/bug-with-tag-replace--t1357101.html#a3710668 Sent from the Delicious (del.icio.us) forum at Nabble.com. ___ discuss mailing list discuss@del.icio.us http://lists.del.icio.us/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/discuss
Re: [delicious-discuss] bug with tag replace?
I have just discovered the same problem. Again, it seems to be the tag renaming that does it, and I'm also left with invisible items. See here: http://del.icio.us/Rozz3r/blog I think in my case I was renaming a two word tag rss feeds with a single word tag blog. Nice to know Joshua is on the case though :) Mislav wrote: I had a buch of stuff tagged with text-indexing, text-markup and similar.
