Hello, QML Unity is back : https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UnityNextSpec As Unity Next switch from QML1 to QML2, it now needs GLES2, so it will be run on the AC100 tegra 2 GPU with the nvidia proprietary driver. This should be the best desktop choice for the next Ubuntu AC100 release. Regards Florent

no, canonical doesnt support 2D desktops at all anymore, unity-2d was discontinued upstream in precise already, all further development is done on unity 3D. in quantal the unity-2d code was completely removed Thanks for the answer, but what a mistake !!! Unity-2D is far better than the 3D one,
