A Listserver 'topic' defines a subset of posts to the list. Until
now, we have had just one topic (NEWS), but we have just added
another named UPDATES.
Posts labelled UPDATES will be restricted to formatted updates of the
main FAQ -- authoritative information that is more-or-less ready for
publication.
Anyone may post an UPDATES message, but the moderators will not
approve it unless it fits the description, ie: the moderation process
will be far more rigorous for UPDATES than for anything else.
Subscribers who want only new FAQ information (ie: those not
interested in discussion) now have a way of getting it. The default
options are to receive all posts as a daily digest. To change your
subscription options to receive only NEWS and UPDATES, please send an
email to
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
with
SET ACCMAIL NODIGESTS
SET ACCMAIL TOPICS: UPDATES,NEWS
as the message body.
