you need to clean its metadata through NTDSUTIL
If the DC in the test is a W2K3 SP1 DC you can do it like:
Ntdsutil metadata cleanup remove selected serverServerObject
When using this command, specify the distinguished name (DN) path of the server
object (ServerObject) of the domain
you can find all those server DNs in one shot using
dsquery server
and then remove the specific DN of your VS image and feed rest of them to ntdsutil.
