Its hard to tell as our L700 is windowless as its upgraded to have no

Hi Bill,
which IP Adress does TSM try to contact if you get the ANR Message.
Does it really try to contact the correct host?
Try removing the TCPCLIENTADDRESS Option or set it to the correct
ip address. (Localhost usually means 127.0.0.1 and will tell TSM the
wrong Adress)

You are right. TSM mirroring is only for DB and Log. If you need mirroring
on diskpool you have to turn to hardware mirroring. Keep in mind, the data
is (in most cases) on the client, on copypool and tapepool. So you are
mirroring for just a few hours of possible dataloss.

You are right, but our diskpool is large enough to hold a complete backup

I know that TSM backups up the lost data again, but this is not true of data

We're trying, usually in vain, to get our TSM environment under

one onsite and one offsite. The scripts check to see if any backup

I did all steps in the TDPO setup guide. As to the libobk.a, I've linked it
to /usr/lib/libobk.a which in turn pointing to the library file of TSM.

As a matter of fact I don't have copy tapes in the bunker, they are written

Is there a method to selectively delete backups of files on the tapes?

3. Check the tape back into the library.
I had already tried a checkout remove=yes followed by a checkin and

I have this problem. The most cases occur because the service fails to
start after a reboot. There are other cases where it stops for no apparent

bound to another class
