This is a great job! but what I need is a little bit different. I want to
share my LTO 3584 with 2 AIX TSM servers. One of them is 4.2.3.3 and the
other is 5.1.6.5
Please, let me know any configuration possible in this scenario.
TIA.

yesterday we succesfuly restored DB from STK9310 through manual library
setting as you wrote. It seems like it is only way to use Gresham controled
library in TSM server standalone mode for restore DB.
Many thanks.

Not a problem.
Your library manager instance must be at the same level or higher than the
latest library client. Consider 5.1.7, since this fixes apar ic36335.
You will need to set up paths in the library manager for all instances, no
matter what version they are running; however only v5
If you change the retention period to 999, then all files bound to that management
class will be retained for 999 days. This includes existing files.

On restores/rebuild of the TSM server/database, I initially allocate a very

I bet you installed patch 1.1.2 for TDP for Domino without previous

Can someone point me to a list that details exactly what files are
included in the system files under system objects?
I have several W2K servers that can't back up the system files, causing
the nightly backups to fail and the scheduler service to stop (even if
it is set to restart on failure).
There is nothing particularly tricky about it. During the backup, we save
the timestamp information. During the restore, we create the directory,
then put the timestamp information back using Windows API function
SetFileTime().
I use PKZIP 2.52 (command line) and the -times=all option will
Debbie, such a list does not exist per se. Rather, TSM uses the Windows
API function SfcGetNextProtectedFile() to enumerate the protected files.
The TSM 5.2 client's QUERY SYSTEMINFO command will include an enumeration
of these files (we added it just for such questions).
Best regards,
Andy

However, I found no way to do it - apparently once a valid logical volume is

Have you logged in through the regular backup archive client? That is
the only way it will store the password locally on the system.
