According to this article I do have a disk performance problem. One should
be able to expire more than a 1000 objects per second...
Indeed, during expiration disk utilization is way over 20% during
expiration, so I guess I should spread my database

Have isolated the directory where the hang occurs. A 'find ... -ls' completes with no
errors. Query Session shows a session starting but then goes into a wait state. AIX

No you can't multithread a reclaim process, but you can run a query to
find out which volumes need reclaiming and issue multiple 'move data'
commands to effectly multithread the process.

I believe this is going to be a scsi problem because when I try to move tapes using
lbtest and the element address for the 3rd tape drive at address 258 I receive an
error. The other drives work fine. I believe lbtest was part of the TSM install
package so I am not 100% positive about this
I am running TSM 5.1.8.3 on Win2K with Overland Neo4100 fiber attached.
I had several sets of error messages like the following over the weekend
because one of the drives was not available during an improperly
performed power sequence and did not show up in the TSM Device Driver:
