Cristoph, Are the backups running in polling or prompted mode on the clients? It is my experience that less troubles occur when they run in prompted mode. best regards, Kurt From: ADSM: Dist Stor Manager on behalf of Christoph Pilgram Sent: Wed 16/11/2005

Henrik, so my questions are, is there a setting in 5.3.2.0 server that I can controll this, or is it a feature..? This is controlled by the queryschedperiod setting, either in server, or in client's dsm.opt (server option is supposed to override the client option). Try to issue q stat on

Q stat shows Query Schedule Period: 2 Hour(s). I have not defined Queryschedperiod in any clopsets or dsm.opt´s. I also see this on a 5.1.6.6 client. //Henrik -Original Message- From: ADSM: Dist Stor Manager [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of PAC Brion Arnaud Sent: den 16

I've had the exact same problem running TSM 5.2.2 on AIX 5.2. The only way I have found to correct the problem was to stop and start the TSM. I've looked on the WEB and asked about 10 months ago but never heard anything. I did call Tivoli and we never did find a way to restart the scheduler

Hi, Scenario 1 sounds correct to me. For scenario 2, you can specify which objects 'Objects' should be backed up (the most easy way to do this is through the webinterface I think). So you can make two schedules, with different objects being backed up. How this would work with the dsm.opt, I

If I remember correctly, wasn't there a TCPIP APAR on AIX that caused these problems? I had a client with these symptoms and it turned out to be an AIX issue with the TCPIP stack. Not TSM. Check your ML level. But then again that was 2-years ago with this client and I sometimes
