Hi,
I'm confusing about the backupset. Normally we can generate the backup set
by specify the node name. How about the API backup data for example TDP for
oracle? Is it included when generate to backupset? If yes, do we can restore
them directly from API command such as rman.
Thanks you,

Backupsets won't work with TDP products.
Help generate backupset
.While the server allows you to create a backup set for any client node, a
backup set can only be used by a backup-archive client.

hi i setupped LAN-free comunication and only thing left is defining the
paths from
storage agent to server, but why do i get this errors/informations that this
particular
node has 0 storage pools capable of LAN-Free ... ? is this related to the
paths ?
validate lan-free shows me only DISK pools
Amos,
I'm assuming you are running x64 not IA64? You will need to install the
5.3.3.0 x64 TDP - download from your Passport account. You will also
need to obtain and run the Microsoft VSS patch
SQL2000-KB916950-v8.00.2191-x86x64-ENU.exe against any sql2000 instances
you have installed.

It means that the stgpools in the mgm-classes refer to a disk-pool. Do you have
a mgmt-class in the domain that refers to a tapepool?

Hi Goran,
It looks like you have no management class defined in the domain where
your BSCS node lies, which points to a tape based storage pool !
Cheers.

Hi Jeroen,
Thanks you for your informaiton. I just confused when I have a chance to
test TSM express. And I think the media copies feature in TSM express use
the backupset command to perform the copy from disk to tape. In the

Joe,
This is an interesting problem. But, what is the goal of the customer regarding
backups ? Disaster recovery, occasional file restores, regulatory requirements,
or something else ?
If one kills a backup run before it completes one does not have a backup of some
stuff. Conceivably some
