Hi all,
how do you backup MS ISA (Internet Security and Acceleration) servers
with TSM?
There are as well as with MS SQL servers files with extensions *.mdf and
*.ldf.
Does TDP for MS SQL support these MS ISA servers?
Thanks for you help,
Rainer
Hi DSMers,
I just wonder one thing.
I will upgrade a TSM Server tomorrow from 5.3 to 5.5 on a Linux x84_64 system.
And the steps will be that I upgrade to latest patch level on 5.3.6.3 -
5.4.1.0 - 5.4.3.2 - 5.5.0.0 - 5.5.1.0
My questions comes about to upgrade the license file.
Do I really need
Christian,
I just did an upgrade on AIX and went from 5.3.x.x direct to 5.5 then patched
to 5.5.1.0 with no issues.

You can save yourself a lot of time by upgrading to 5.5 then applying
the 5.5.1 patch straight from where you are. You'll need to run the
upgradedb command, but other than that you should be good. We went
straight to 5.5.1 from 5.2.9, and all is well.
You may need to re-register your licenses
Hi
I upgraded directly from 5.3.5 to 5.5.1
No problems. Took the best part of 40 minutes for a 20GB db
And the upgrde process upgrades the database as well.
Just follow the upgrade instructions, and DO A FULL DB BACKUP FIRST.

It has been my experience that the SAN Storage Agents have to be the
same version as the server (within a point or two anyway).

We don't have the info between where you saw that the server was not
in license compliance to why you tried to reapply the tsmee license.
Be sure that you performed Query LICense to ascertain just what
elements were not in compliance so as to be able to address those.

Anyone know what happened to the 5.5.1.2 patch for the Windows client?
I downloaded it last week but the readme for what was new with this
update would never list anything beying 5.5.1.1
Now when I went back to check again, 5.5.1.2 is MIA?
Hello all,
Is anyone currently using or evaluating TSM FastBack? Was this an
in-house (IBM) software or was it bought and adapted for TSM use -
kind of like the AvePoint software for MS SharePoint? I hadn't heard of
it before, but figured someone out there may have gotten their fingers

The messages thrown out into the activity log do not show the amount of data
deleted, only the objects. If I didn't note how much data was in a filespace
before I deleted it, how can I see it after the fact? We have Servergraph, is
there to find out there?

Thank You everyone for your information and support. I've able to load the
the tape using lin_tapexxx according to the Red Hat kernel and runs
properly.
