Doesn't seem relevant to me - Win2008.
I have seen the suggestion to exclude system state backup, but I don't want to
this.

Would you please elaborate a bit on the context of the problem?
Is this new installation? Has it ever worked? Versions of client/server?

See IBM Technote 1330189 for an explanation of the overall situation.
If someone diddles with the file system elements that the System State
list refers to, inconsistency results.

Hi
If there any way to restore a TSM database if one or more database volumes
are deleted? I can find which dbvol is delete by looking at dsmserv.dsk but
don't know its size to recreate it by dsmfmt utility.
Hi,
Concerning the question abaut the the size...you can find out by executing the
following server commands
Dsmserv display dbvolumes
Dsmserv display logvolumes

It is a windows2008 sp2 64bit,as I have written. The client version is 6.1.2.0
. TSM server is 5.5.3.0.
It has worked fine for a few months, and this errors started after installation
of Microsoft security updates.
We have created a workaround an hour ago- copied the missing file from another
and try again.
Any help welcome.

If anyone has any ideas on how to solve this I would appreciate any assistance.
Here is my issue. I have a devclass of the following on a source to target
configuration. Below you will notice that there is a library by the name of
sequentialfile defined to this devclass. Well long story short
waiting on server admin to get me a list of patches.
Nothing in the message help but correct and try again.
Any help welcome.

All,
In the future I'd like to have it all managed from one server (VCB)
SNI280; does anyone know how you can do this with Tivoli? Is there at
least a good manual to explain VM/VCB tivoli backups using TSM client V6.
Thanks in advance!

I may have to open a ticket with IBM. My symptoms and number of incidents

I can't believe they didn't catch and fix the GUI issue (connection

Zoltan,
I would recommend opening up PMRs with IBM. In this forum, we cannot offer
the degree of assistance that might be needed. Having said that:
- We've seen the ANR0408W in the lab, and will get that corrected.
- I'd be interested in understanding your crash scenario better with the

Hi,
this library was created automaticaly when you defined the FILE device class as
SHARED=YES. It is used when doing LANFree to disk (SANErgy etc.)
Can you share corresponding actlog part with the error?

Hello Andrew,
We have TSM 6.1.0.2 installed in Windows 2003 R2. We have upgraded to 6.1.2.0
only 5 servers (32 and 64 bit).
Upgrade has been done directly without de-installing previous versions with
following reboot. We have problems similar to Zoltan's (GUI was not working at
all) on all of
