Hi Eric
DP for ERP(SAP) backups uses the archive copygroup, but it uses it's own
versioning. That's why they tell you to configure it to NOLIMIT or .
If retver=0 is set then your backups will be deleted by TSM and not ERP/backint.

The proposed solution for this CTL data problem was to send the CTL data to a
disk pool for quicker access.
However, when you try to restore from your offsite copies at a DR site, TSM
restores the CTL data and then a data block separately, leading to terrible
restore times. (4Gb/hour).

Hi!
Thank you for your help! I didn't check the other servers thoroughly
enough: the setting was right (nolim) on two other servers and wrong (0)
on the other two. I changed it to nolim on all servers so the problem
should be fixed now.
Have a nice weekend!

Hi TSM-ers!
A client session gets cancelled after 15 minutes:
06/28/2013 13:46:35 ANR0482W (Session: 1638708, Origin: QVIPCOS8)
Session 183 for node QVIP4 (Linux/x86_64) terminated - idle for more
than 15 minutes. (SESSION: 1638708)
However, IdleTimeOut is set to 9 hours:
tsm: QVIP4q
Is it maybe getting killed because it is waiting on a resource and hitting
your resourcetimeout? Like a tdp backup going straight to tape and no tape
drives available?

Hello everyone,
I have a strange problem. I wanted to install TDP for Domino 5.5.3.2 onto
an openSuSE 12.3 x64 server and the installer runs successfully. But the
problem is that it does not create the bin directory.
I could install the TSM 6.1.5 API and BA client without problems, but the

Eric, what does the Origin: QVIPCOS8 part of the message refer to?

Michael,
I am afraid I have no insight to offer as to why the install does not work,
except to say that this is not a supported configuration.
Maybe you are already aware, but I should mention anyway: Neither Data

supported on
Andy,
I know it's not supported but it has been working on other openSuse Servers
before so I hope that's not the reason.

Hi

I am looking to use Lanfree to backup a large server.
I recall when I upgraded to v6.3 server, there were 4 options:
Languages
TSM Server Extended Edition
Devices
Storage Agent
And from the list, I selected TSM EE and Devices. I assume this is where

Installing TSM EE on the server should have installed all the license files you
need on the server (I don't see one for Lan Free but we are using TTSM/Unified
Recovery, i.e. storage based licensing). You of course have to do a register
license for each license you are going to use. You will
