I have an ancient Linux node (RHEL4) running an unsupported (but latest)
lin_tape 1.66 and an also unsupported (but latest) TSM 5.5.4. LANfree backup
doesn't work anymore, but I can't find the reason why. Since the whole stack is
out of support there is no sense in opening a PMR...

I also created a server trace and although the messages in it are almost
identical as in the technote, the paths are defined on the server and they are
online... They have been working until recently by the way.

We have a library sharing environment in a STK SL3000. The library is FC

12x HP LTO-6
8x HP LTO-5
The library manager runs RHEL6.6 and TSM 6.3.4.300. There is a library
client that ran RHEL5 and TSM 6.3.4.300, and had no problems. Our HBAs are

The statement about journal based backup not being supported on Windows
2003 servers has been corrected in the 6.2.2 version of the manual. The
statement now reads:
Journal-based backup can be used for all Windows clients.
