I manage the tape movement manually without DRM.
I write scripts that:
1. update the access of the copy pools volumes once at 2 weeks to offsite and
the location is drp (you can wrte there wathever you like) and make a list of

There you can define more then one instance on the same host.
The db2 tsm dB's crated in the TSMDB1 per instance.
You have to use -k server1 (for instance1) -k server2 (instance2)
I have windows with 3 instance on it.
Why you do not upgrade to 6.2 version?

I backup the netapps is several ways.
I use the ndmp over the network and use snapmirror in tsm 6.x
It depents what is on the volumes and the volumes spaces.
I n snapmirror there is backup of the snapshots, so it is very good option to
sve data for history backups.

Windows server 2003 r2 x64 on production and test.
I installed on test Tivoli server 6.1.3.1 create minimal instance then copied
Volhist and devcfg files . remove the databse and format new one.
