Thank you.
Hi all!
I will realice the import/export operations to move a TSM Server from AIX to

Do I need to have those all storage pools name defined on new server (target server)

can give you some good advice on this subject. Something that I certainly do remember
is the necessity put database, recovery log, and stgpool volumes on raw disks.

Hello
I need to know how to migrate TSM Server 4.2.2.10 from AIX Operating System to TSM
server 5.2 on Sun Solaris 9 Operating System.
We currently have TSM Server 4.2.2.10 (32 bit) on AIX 4.3.
I believe we should do the migrate from TSM server AIX to Sun Solaris first, then go

Hi to all
Do you know if it is possibility to perform a backup via LAN in AIX without the
available rmtX ? After I ran cfgmgr -v, I ran lsdev -Cc tape but they didn't show
up the list of available rmtX. Is it not problem for backup via LAN?

Hi everyone!
I will install the TSM Client 5.2 in AIX 5.1 System Operative, so I am unsure
about the compatible between TSM Client 5.2 and TSM Server 4.2.2.7. This means:
can TSM Client 5.2 work with TSM Server 4.2.2.7 ?
Now I am running TSM server 4.2.2.7 in other

Hi everybody!
Some of you know how many HBA's (Fibre Channel Bus Adapter 1000 Gb/s) we
should get for backup SAP via LAN. We have four drives LTO I (3584) and are running
TSM 4.2.2.10 on AIX and TSM Client on Window 2000. We are not using SAN.
Big thank. I very much
should have a look at flashcopy and/or TDP for ESS for SAP/R3.

Hi everybody!
We are going to purchase a LTO Ultrium Ultrascalable tape library 3584 model

Hello.
I have a LTO Ultrium Ultrascalable Tape Library 3584 L32 and this library has three
(3) drives LTO Ultrium I (First Generation). Every day the TDP for R/3 (version
3.2.0.8) takes backups online of database's SAP (Oracle) through TSM Server 4.2. This
TSM Server is running on an RS/600
server during the backups?
What kind of disk is your SAP database using?
I am backing up a 2+TB SAP database on 10 drives in under 6 hours. We have
a multiplexing of 6.
