Hi,
Finally I noticed that EOS date has been anounced for TSM 5.5 (distributed
platforms only, not z/OS). Please note that TSM 6.1 also is EOS on the same
date, so it is not a good target upgrade version.

said, I had folks that
installed both 6.3 and 6.4 clients on W2K3 and W2K8 servers and backed up
to a 5.5 server, with no problems we are aware of. Yes, it isn't a
supported configuration but if you don't have a choice, what do you do?

Hi,
I just wanted to confirm two things:
1. Windows 2012 is supported from client 6.3.1, which is supported from server
6.1 (but no 5.5 server), correct ?
2. TSM 5.5 Extended edition EOS I coulnt't see on the EOS page, but on the
pages where I took the above info I saw EOS 30 September 2013
Thanks for the link.
It seems that there has been no solution either than nor now. Incremental
System State backups is an improvement that can help. Does anybody has some
statistics how is dayly incremental backup compared to the full in percentage ?

Thanks a lot for the tip Wanda and Paul.
Now as I have TSM server 5.5.2.0, will the client 6.2.1 work with it ? For file
backups TSM rule of working with Releases +-1 gives us that 5.5.2.0 server
should work with the next Release, which is 6.0 (is there actually 6.0 ?) or
6.1, but not 6.2.
Hi,
I did look around, but couldn't find any information or thread about my
problem, so I'm going to ask here.
TSM 5.5.2.0 on AIX 5.3.0.0
Windows 2008 System State backups consists of far too many files than the
previous versions of Windows. Some of them have milions of files. So with
IBM is quicker than you. From the Wiki page - In 2007 IBM's Tivoli Division
adopted BIRT as the infrastructure for its Tivoli Common Reporting (TCR)
product. TCR produces historical reports on Tivoli-managed IT resources and
processes.

Subject: TSM server
Hi gurus,
I have a weird TSM server problem.
We have 2 TSM servers ver 5.5.2.0 on AIX (one server is 5300-12-01-1016, the
other is 5300-06-01-). We have a Gigabit network connection to every
firewall zone (and 10 Gbit to the servers zone), so the backups don't go
through the firewalls. We

(http://www.ibm.com/software/sysmgmt/products/support/eos.html) and can not
understand what is the EOS date for TSM 5.4 and 5.5, can somebody help me ?
