Hi Tom,
CBMR does support Linux already for a long time ago.
And soon will CBMR for Linux also support dissimilar hardware for Linux.

I'm looking for a bare-metal restore solution for linux -- does anyone
have suggestions?
Has Cristie released their bmr for linux that supports unlike hardware
yet? (I can't find any info on their UK web site).
I'm looking for a distribution-agnostic unlike hardware recovery
solution.
TIA
Tom

Is it possible to do a restore of an imagebackup from an alternative
plattform - e.g. Linux or from a WINPE (windows
preinstallation environment)
?
Since the backup consists of blocks and not of
filesysteminformation it should be possible.

Here's my clopt for Unix systems (AIX, Solaris, Linux).

We have the backup running just fine and the backups table finds the stuff
We implemented the virtualmountpoint But, the restore cannot find the
