CINTA SEJATI Xiao Cien namanya. Tampangnya biasa saja, tp penuh pengertian kelembutan. Di tahun kelulusan kami, ia berkata, Saya dpt beasiswa ke Amerika, dan tak tahu berapa lama di sana. Kita bertunangan dulu, ya? Sehari sesudah wisuda, kami bertunangan. Xiao Cien brgkt ke Amrik dan saya mendpt pekerjaan bagus. Kami berhubungan dan melepas kerinduan dgn bertelepon. Suatu hari menuju tempat kerja, saya tertabrak. Tidak tahu lewat berapa lama saya pingsan. Saat siuman, yg terlihat adalah raut wajah sedih dari setiap orang. Sebenarnya apa yang terjadi. Mengapa saya tdk dpt bersuara? Ayah berkata, Dokter bilang syaraf kamu terluka. Sementara tdk dpt bersuara, lewat beberapa waktu akan membaik. Saya tidak mau! saya berusaha memukul ranjang, membuka mulut lebar-lebar berteriak, tapi gak ada suara yg keluar. Setelah itu, kehidupanku berubah. Suara telepon yg didambakan menjadi suara yg sangat menakutkan. Saya tidak lagi keluar rumah, lalu mengucilkan diri. Saya membatalkan pertunangan dng Xiao Cien. Setiap telepon darinya tidak kujawab, setiap surat yang ditulisnya tak pernah kubalas. Ayah pun memutuskan pindah rumah. Lewat 2 thn, saya secara perlahan dpt keluar dari masa gelap ini, juga mulai belajar bahasa isyarat. Suatu hari, bel pintu berbunyi. Begitu ayah membukakan pintu, seisi rumah mendadak hening. Xiao Cien telah muncul, berdiri di depan pintu rumahku. Ia berjalan ke hadapanku. Dgn bahasa isyarat terlatih, dia berkata, Maafkan saya! Saya terlambat 1 tahun menemuimu. Dalam 1 tahun ini, saya berusaha keras mempelajari bahasa isyarat, demi utk hari ini. Tidak peduli kamu berubah menjadi apapun, selamanya aku mencintaimu. Marilah kita menikah! Air mataku berlinang. Cintailah keluarga kita dengan segenap hati, ingatlah selalu kebaikan mereka, sayangilah segalanya, agar segala perasaan yg indah menjadi nyata.
