Notification text is already selectable with Plasma notifications, as fixed in
bug 358981. If this doesn't work, please reopen bug 358981 with more details
and ideally attach a screenshot of where you're trying to select the text, so
that we're sure we're talking about the same thing.

I think better use-case is volume controls - if you play a music
and your volume is too high and you don't realize, the panicky
solution is always hit the volume down key. Now pressing that
down and holding it down should imho continuously lower the
volume rather than having the finger pressed down, realizing
this doesn't do much and you need to press it repeatedly. That
is, imho, subpar.

Also all other DEs work with single press-down, we probably
shouldn't be the weird kid.

No; the system is a bit more complicated.

Plasma-framework, which has the calendar backend and the events backend,
depends on KF5::CalendarEvents, which is part of KDeclarative.

Plasma-workspace then has a plugin based on KHolidays that is being loaded by
that Plasma-framework code.

The actual error from the screenshot comes from KHoliday I believe, which has
declarative imports that the plugin in Plasma-workspace uses.

I would advise to file a bug against Kubuntu packaging and at the same time add
a required version of KHolidays in -workspace, which seems to be missing. On a
side note, KHolidays is now in this strange limbo where it is a framework that
is being released with applications, so the versioning might be a bit weird.

Finally, Simon, for future reference, please always attach screenshots directly
to bugzilla or at least include the text of the error here, so that we know
what this is about in case the image is taken down from a 3rd party site.

Yes. As you've probably noticed, the holidays file has
multiple categories, such as Civil, Religious, Seasons
etc. There is no way to tell KHolidays "Give me all that
is not 'Seasons'". Therefore there's no way to filter

Thanks for stepping up, so here are the steps

0/ Install git
1/ Open Konsole and paste this: git clone git://anongit.kde.org/kholidays.git
2/ Open the kholidays folder in Dolphin and navigate to holidays/plan2
3/ Find the file holiday_pl_pl and edit as you see fit
4/ Once done, go back to Konsole and do `cd kholidays`
5/ Type `git diff > patch.diff`
6/ Post the patch.diff file to https://git.reviewboard.kde.org and assign to
Plasma group
7/ Wait for review
8/ Profit

The holidays files we have are sometimes a bit old,
so may be even outdated.

It is independent. The mark on the calendar grid is new addition
to the theme, the other themes simply need an update.

At the same time, we cannot limit ourselves forever because other

As you can read in that very comment, it says Fixed in Plasma 5.7.

Couple things - multiple issues should always go into separate reports, there's
no sensible way to handle them in a single report. That said, in 5.7 holidays
are marked, today is highlighted, ability to copy date and you can skip dates

Yes it does come from Chromium itself, as Justin says.

I agree with Justin - remove the Chromium icon. We do not
ship an icon for Chrome or Firefox or Opera, there's no reason
why we should ship an old version of Chromium icon, imo.

[calendar] Fix calendar applet not clearing selection when hiding

This removes some old cruft that is not really used and serves
basically only as a bool property for checking if it's null and
wheter it equals the last activated date.

This can be done without it by simply resetting the current selected
date (another property) to "today".

Right click on the clock -> Set time format.

Yes, I'm aware. I marked these as duplicates cause in both cases the cause is
the same - wrong struts. So if/when someone will investigate the code for
struts, I'm hoping that someone will also test it and/or have it tested in

That said, please upgrade to Kubuntu 15.10 or 16.04 once

Any protocol related features however must be reported upstream
to http://bugs.freedesktop.org - product Telepathy - component Gabble.

KDE Telepathy is "just" the UI layer, we don't do protocols, sorry.
