Could some kind person answer a few questions about the controls of
the ice1712.
I have the manual for the card and I use it with that other operating
system all the time, but I cannot figure out how the alsa controls
correspond.
What I would like to do more specifically is playback through

Have you compiled the envy24control tool from the alsa-tools package?

Seems like USB Audio driver doesn't want to be on /dev/mixer0 ;)
Possibly your card doesn't have mixer properties. The quattro doesn't. I
don't know exactly how to get round that with xmms though.

Hi,
I was trying to test rawmidi on snd-usb-midi with latest patches, with no
success :(
Then, as I have an sb 128 (snd-ens1371) I tryed the alsa-lib/test/rawmidi
program with only that card module loaded.
$ ./rawmidi -i hw:0,0
Read midi in
Press ctrl-c to stop
(With a MIDI keyboard
add the flag -v to get verbose output and see what events you receive (this should be
default behaviour i guess...)
