I installed the ALSA ice1712 drivers for my Hoontech/StAudio DSP24 MKII
on RH7.3 following the instructions from the ICE1712 WIKI page.
Installation/configuration went flawlessly, but the drivers are not
functioning properly. These are the issues/questions I have:

I have successfully done this on Mandrake 8.1 and it seems like you
have left out a step.
To ensure that all symbols are correct (I take it your kernel uses symb. ver.)
you need to have the correct System.map file.

drivers I can load the drivers properly, do a lsmod to see the drivers
and play mp3's but thats were it stops.
The problem is that no sound comes out of the speakers.
I have set the amixer to 100% unmuted literally

I got a hunch that maybe the pre-ac1 RML preempt patch might
actually apply against the new 2.4.19 kernel, and it did, so
I've refactored the AlsaBuild script using the final 2.4.19
tarball and the 2nd latest preempt-kernel-rml-2.4.19-rc5-3.patch.
