I installed alsa-driver 0.9.0rc2 from source on a Mandrake Linux 8.2 with kernel 2.4.18-8.1mdk installed, following this way: - remove kernel OSS and ALSA sound modules from /lib/modules/2.4.18-8.1mdk; - unpack the source file, cd to the directory; - ./configure --with=oss=yes
