I tried very long to get working Audigy 2zs (no platinum) streaming compressed ac3 to my amp. No success at this moment with alsa (1.0.4 with kernel 2.6.6 debian unstable). Last time I tried out new oss driver and ac3 works fine with my amp. Alsa work better for normal audio, so at this moment

Hi I have xine with alsa support, but if I play a movie with ac3 there is no sound at all. Only if I use oss driver (OSS v3.99.1c - a FREE limited time evaluation) everything is ok. I tried fast everything mplayer, ac3jack, ac3dec. Everything look like working but there is no sound at all (using

This works, but alsa convert ac3 to stereo sound and I get only stereo PCM stream at 48KHz. I want now try to downgrade to alsa 0.9.7 and maybe it help (I had newer so old alsa version with my card) In other post was that ac3 works with 0.9.7, so maybe some chages are there (never version kernel
