Thank you Lief and Keith.
I'd never used ExRem before, and for some stupid reason, I thought it was a
cosmetic thing that removed the signal arrows from the chart
I haven'tquite honed it down yet, but certainly the
Buy = ExRem( Buy, Short );
Short = ExRem( Short , Buy );
works well.
Hi,
how is it possible to switch from a daily time frame to an intraday time frame,
using an MA on the intraday time frame and at least plot the last intraday MA
each day on the daily time frame?
I have tried on a daily time frame:
30MinArray=TimeFrameExpand(Foreign($XYZ,Close),30*60);
Mike,
I wish to identify stocks which turned on the last day. I am getting stocks
that turned before the last day.
Thanks.

My reason for wanting to do a Refresh All, is to reset the display of

I use IB - is there a way to limit the number of executions one would get using
these orders? For example, say I am following 500 stocks and have a system
similar to #2 below. I would have 500 buystop/sellstop orders out, but would
only want to take the first 10 that get filled. Is there a
Hello CorvidSys,
I may have overlooked your answer to my question.
Many thanks for getting back!

You cannot tell which stocks have turned on the last day (today) because you do
not yet know what tomorrow's price is. The best you can do is find which stocks
turned on the previous day, as confirmed by today (the last day), which is
exactly what your code is doing.

RefreshAll is supported on the Application object using the OLE interface,
available both directly from within your AFL script or from an external
javascript. Not sure that you would want to do it from within a running AFL
though, it might wreak havoc with the running script. As always,
I think you can use:
getpositionlist() to count the number of opened positions and
and cancelAllpendingOrders() if that number is higher than 9.

Hello,
RequestTimedRefresh function is preferred and way more efficient method
to force refresh of chart.
RefreshAll is overkill. Among other things it REFILLS symbol lists

are slow, it is not recommended to use RefreshAll unless you
Tomasz,
I wonder if we are talking about the same type of application. In my case, I
am using RefreshAll() to synchronize several chart panes within a single chart
sheet by means of static variables. I have not looked into Keith's type of
application and perhaps it is a different animal
Why not use the cleanup script that Tomasz provided? Are you trying to do
something above and beyond what that script does?

This is exactly what I want to do, but the exploration also picks up stocks
that turned not on previous day but two days ago.
Mike,
I finally solved this problem. I compared the values given by the exploration
to those on the chart and found the two lines had different values. I realized
that the parameters in the exploration had been set to 18 while the code had
been changed to 8. Anyway, resetting the parameters
