As soon as Perry figures out how to get his email client to send in
'plain-text', I'm sure he'll be posting in here, himself. I'm just not
sure there -is- an option for that in incredimail.

I am not offended. The fact is, I ship like this all over the world and
never a problem for the last 10 years. By the way, the transformer weighs
less than the 40 pounds. Two boxes, two layers of foam and bolted down. Pure
and simple, total neglect on FedEx's part.

Very fine, Gary.
I was only talking in generalities, of course. Everyone has the right to
air his/her opinions.
If you run another ad in the Collins Journal, please let me know as we did
before. I am in the process of putting together the July/August issue. It
will be one of the best.
Gary, I apologize for drawing any bad press your way over this. My

I am real sorry for Todd's, KA1KAQ, mod transformer being damaged. Weather
it was my fault or the shipper. The damage is done. Claims have been
submitted. I think this group should move on to other more related topics of
discussion. I did learn one thing, from now on, anything 20 pounds or more
Hi Gary,
Unfortunately this group all too often gets on a tangent about some
re-hashed thing INSTEAD of doing what the list is for - helping
others make better rigs.
For those of us who have been there - done that its way to much of
nothing. Folks need to get a life.

The Gonset Commander is my favored choice. I have the A version with
6AQ5 modulators. Mine came west with me on 50.400 no filter on
output. I sure
wouldnt do that today !! I have the VFO also. Still small.

I've shipped hundreds of items and have never had something damaged
(knock on wood). There is in fact somewhat of an art to good packaging.
