Hi Ron,
You can steer both IC-706MKIIGs without switching the antennas, I think.
You will have changed the Icom address of one of the radios to allow control
of both radios..
If the program starts - for example - with FO-29 choose the address of the
radio at the 70cm antenna (downlink) as the

Hi All,
Happy Gagarin Day!
And as you can all read, commanding was successful during the 09:00 UTC
pass. Enjoy the transponder for the weekend!

You don't have to manually check the paper receipts against your LoTW

existing VUCC credits will be added to your LoTW VUCC account.
If your last VUCC application was before 2000, the staff will have to

I've had trouble lately keeping up with the launches of new satellites,
and trying to separate those that carry experiments, beacons, etc. from
those that have active transponders available for amateur use.
Is there a list online somewhere that only lists satellites with active
transponders?

I am not holding my breath for release of the new Wouxun.
Wouxun brought a couple demo models to IWCE last month. They slapped FCC ID
numbers on them

On the IC-W32A's... I read several places that the early ones with 5 digit
serial numbers are okay, but that is not necessarily true from my experience.
Another point to consider is you can buy two of the cheap Chinese HTs for about
what the diplexer in the Arrow costs. That's the cheapest way to get to full
duplex.

If there were a market for them they'd be out there. I think the amount
of people who want to work Flying repeaters by juggling an HT and a
handheld antenna is smaller than what that type of operations proponents
would have you believe. Not saying there is anything wrong with doing it
that

Great point, Drew.
KD2EXR does a great job on SO-50 with two Baofeng UV-B5s. Check out
his QRZ.com page.
His entire FM satellite station cost under $100 and he seems to hear
just as well as anyone (probably better than most, actually).

It's probably not as popular because SO-50 is harder to hear than
AO-51 or AO-27 were. I'm sure lots of people will be trying it again
when Fox-1 launches in December.
And, as you know, AMSAT is not working on launching only more flying
repeaters, but also software defined transponder satellites
