The Software Orbitron, allows Sun tracking as an option, assuming your
rotator system is compatable with this software. Rather than tracking
a satellite you can change it to track the sun/moon, in the settings
page It connects via WiSPDDE software to the rotator system.
You then need a way of
I'd appreciate any info on who repairs Landwehr preamps (VHF and UHF).
Resurrecting mine from 1990 and they are both dead. They have what I
recall to be the classic symptom of a blown GasFET, when you apply power
you get about 30dB of loss.

Has anyone done research and found the best in shack preamp for Amateur
Television on 439.250 MHz?
Any performance data and source of supply would be appreciated. Thanks,

Hi Farrell,
The best solution is to get a good GaAsFET 432 MHz preamplifier and retune
them for the lowest Noise Figure to 439 MHz using a PANFI ( Precision
Automatic Noise Figure Indicator ) like a widely know AILTECH mod 75

This is on different computer- I get Ungultige gleitkommaoperation marching
across the screen. I must shut the computer down to stop it. I had just
downloaded new keps. The last time (other computer) I had to delete the entire
program and start from scratch with everything. Is there
Dear amateur radio operators,
Apparently the satellite had not reset as was scheduled on June 5, 0100z
and the transponder remained on for the rest of today. After today's pass
over Lithuania we left the transponder working again and put the satellite
to safe mode (no telemetry) to save some
Hi Bob,
Maybe just go back to using your OSCAR Locator? There are overheads
developed for FO-29 and AO-7 to use with it.

I will be in Bangor, Maine on the morning of Sat., June 7th. I expect to be
able to drive a half hour north to activate FN55, if there is interest in that
grid.
I would be on the SO-50 pass around 1610 UTC with a pair of HTs and my trusty
Arrow antenna.
I can also activate FN64 on SO-50

I have inspected the VHF and UHF schematic diagrams at

For 2 meters VHF the input GaAsFET T5 is a N Channel GaAs-Shotky

Thanks to WD9EWK, KC9TTR, and WB3JVD for my first QSOs on this satellite! It
was a max 9 degree pass, with decent signals. I will say, if you are going to
try this one, use the Celestrak or Spacetrack keps, since they are updated
more frequently.

Hi Drew. Glad you had a chance to work the bird. Paul N8HM and I made a contact
on the earlier 23:43z pass. I lucked out with Murphy, my transmit HT's battery
crapped out just after our QSO. Did not hear any stations on the bird other
than the two of us. I don't have narrow band FM on that
Still attempting to make satpc32 work. Removed it from hard drive, downloaded
from Erics site, now get error 1925 not sufficient privileges etc etc. The
next sound you hear will be the computer flying out the window. Assistance
please.

Drew,
Glad to work you on that pass. I heard nobody else.
I almost didn't hear you come back, as the satellite was
just over the mountains to my east at that point. On the
next pass at 0247 UTC, I worked AA5PK in Texas for my only
QSO.
This is a fun satellite. I hope it is available for our
